It looks like the end-user or customer will do the test for them.... Well, yes and no. We do lots of testing internally. But we have many many thousands of customers with a wide variety of environments, and our experience has been that no matter how much we test internally, we find new bugs when customers get the release.…

The backup, repair install, and reboot seemed to fix the issue. I do have NPM installed on this system too... when we upgrade to v5 that go to a separate server.
-
I would love to if I had a web.config file. Is this because the server is the additional web server?
-
Can you please send us the walks from one of your devices to check them? Big thanks ahead.
-
The name restriction is a result of our backend system. It seems like it should be trivial, but it has a big impact internally, so while it's something we have a plan to fix, it's not something we've been able to execute yet.

Where do you confirm/set the data portion for ICMP packets (the 0 bytes you refer to)? Try System Manager>Settings>Network.
-
We think you should open a ticket so we can look at it more closely.

Hi foonly, Would you mind posting the feature request here on this thread? Thanks!
-
No, but you will be able to formally disable components within an app.
-
aLTeReGo thank you. Can a use what tomasv say, as an alternative to tomcat template? do you already used this one?
-
aLTeReGo any additional suggestion please? Thank you so much.

do i need to open a case? or this is out of support of SW?

Also checkout Directlink. See "Using the DirectLink Account" in the NPM Admin Guide, P364: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OrionAdministratorGuide.pdf "Enabling a DirectLink account allows you to make direct hyperlinks to specific web console views available to individuals who do not already have Orion…

Support seems to indicate it is due to the DB being heavily fragmented and the query timing out. I do notice that if I run the search on specific fields rather than the default "All Fields" it does work. The default query also (to my mind) seems to be quite long. Not sure if it changed in the 3.1 upgrade or not. I am also…

Awesome! Thank you so much njoylif! Just what I needed and works great! P.S., watch out! Another UDT report request post forthcoming.
-
Network Atlas currently requires Orion users, and does not work with AD user credentials.
-
Thanks to both of you. Apparently my search-fu wasn't strong enough last night when I was trying to find that information.
-
Has support or anyone helped you adjust the memory available to the agent yet? It could be a memory availability issue - we've seen the CPU get pegged more frequently when there isn't enough available memory versus not enough CPU. By default the agent itself only uses something like 64-128M of RAM, which is probably not…

FIXED IT! It was the network proxy that messed things up, removed that and good things started happening. My bad, thanks for the help! Cheers, B
-
Thanks Alex! Ill try it out later today
-
OK, I did that but I still cannot delete the dynamic query.

I have the same question as fasteddye. Is there a benefit to monitoring uplink ports?
-
Yes this would be a great add on, i'm getting an icnreasing number of request to monitor systems not just the network. They want to be able to see one view that shows what is up/down and links that are heavily utilised that the system connects over. When you say "systems", do you mean servers? What kinds of servers? Are…

Yes, support does have a fix for this. Just started getting the .NET Runtime 2.0 error today and opened Case #60950 . Can we get this fix? Event Type: Error Event Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting Event Category: None Event ID: 5000 Date: 9/28/2008 Time: 11:46:13 AM User: N/A Computer: NOCPERF Description:…

Just posted a modified report for you in Content Exchange. See if this works for you.
-
Ah - permissions changes on files/directories are actually tracked via Windows File Auditing (or LEM's File Integrity Monitoring) which is a whole separate can of worms/events. The Auditable events are for things like users/groups, for file changes you can use File Audit Events (make sure you also have Windows File…

jluke, You're posting on an old thread that's referencing 8.0. We made a lot of changes for 8.1. Your problem is probably different than the ones mentioned earlier. I'd encourage you to open a Support ticket on your issue that we can collects logs and diagnostics on your specific problem. Denny

just to confirm, the URL does work if sent out in a report scneduler email, the chart appears in the email.....
-
The problem was solved by an upgrade to NPM v10.6.
-
WHAT, is the error you're seeing the same? "Unhandled Exception caught in NPM Service Engine startup. Invalid column name 'BusinessLayerPort'"?
