The message above indicates that NetFlow traffic hasn't gotten through to NTA. One way to check if the flows are being sent is to download our free tool to see if that will see the NetFlow data. www.solarwinds.com/.../netflow_analyzer.aspx

Ok, let's look at how this works/worked. I want to change the "Collect Statictis Every..." interval. In Orion 9.1 NPM... 1) Right click interface and select "Interface Details" 2) Move slider to appropriate setting 3) Close details window and select next device In Orion 10 web interface... (I'm showing step 0 because in…

good idea dude!!! other tools have that, even Kiwi cattools... the SMTP route should be specified outside the alert, somewhere more global, and indeed have a backup route with a time out cheers dan

Honestly, it sounds to me like you ARE doing the right thing. UserLogon.DestinationAccount = <username(s) you're interested in> AND UserLogon.LogonType = Windows: Interactive Sample data includes "bubbajim" so that's what I've got here, and it did work as expected: However, you should be aware that Windows interactive…

Hi Eric From our support team: We trap literals used for the parameters the first time we poll for SQL text that was used for the latest compilation as of that poll for that SP and SQL statement. Those literals can be viewed in Management Studio by exporting the plan from DPA to an xml doc and opening in SSMS. We don't do…

They do show up...I am thinking it may have to do with the fact that I have the polling rate set for 1 minute for all servers. I had done this to try to keep the application data in sync with data that came from cpu/memory monitoring- to try to figure out what was causing CPU spikes, etc. I'm wondering if I should spread…

I can't give you a time frame, but I can tell you that it's a high-priority item. Until then, include All Applications (sorted by node) along with All Nodes on the view that you're looking at. All Applications *will* change the status based on application status.

Regarding setting this for use by NON-Admins, You have to go to the TFTP_Server.exe, right-click, go to Properties, then "Compatibility" tab - in there, under "User account privileges" section, choose the check-box for "Allow non-administrators to run this program." HTH

Instead of being called "NATO5 Rules" we changed it to "Rule Library". Same difference. In 5.6.0 (current version), these are in fact not even labeled that way anymore, because it was confusing. Are you looking at the Admin Guide or something else? I'll pass this on to our info dev team of tech writers to make sure it…

Thanks for the quick response Chris. My configs specifically state version 5 in them. Unfortunately when I downloaded the software on Tuesday and read the release notes, there was no mention of the issue. After you mentioned it, I now see that the release notes were updated on Thursday. Guess I need to ask for some version…

Oh dear, So with an Cisco ASA as the gateway, we don't have any option to get an mapping of IP address to Mac address with UDT? Jon.

Actually the database field that contains the custom node names is the "Caption" field. If this field could be available in NCM and IPAM to be displayed next to the device or IP, that would be beneficial. Otherwise, i guess i could create a custom field and copy from the caption to the new field.

Have you opened a Support ticket? From what you describe, it sounds like an environmental problem.

Unfortunately no, still nothing to do with permissions needed for querying services.

Sameera, You're going to need to provide more context than just a screenshot of the error. Which template are you using? What kind of node are you trying to poll? What data are you expecting see? What steps did you follow to get to that error message. We do want to help, but there isn't enough to go on. If you want more…

Can you say me when the API will be available? I don't yet have firm date that I can share.

worked a treat!!!! thank you so much!!!!

Please do. We are working on Map Maker for a future release, we will incorporate that feature.

Applied the change and it works great. Thanks for making this workaround available.

That was the answer. I don't know SQL but Solarwinds did tell me how to construct the filter. FullName NOT LIKE '*ckt*' "ckt" is a unique description for all my WAN circuits. Thanks for your help pointing me in the right direction!!

You are the man!!

I've asked repeatedly for a page for seeing enhancement requests for the product and the ability to vote on these. This still hasn't been implemented. I can only believe that is because Solarwinds does not want us to see the list and see items that are ignored since they don't sell more seats. Filtering interfaces by type…

aLTeReGo, I have "Count as Difference" set to True, yet I am still receiving this error. Any suggestions?

I think this will resolve the SAM maintenance issue but if database maintenance won't finish because it is stuck at "Removing older data from Traps" it won't help.

I've always found the alert for "Device rebooted" to be problematic for this specific reason along with a couple others. We have some Net_SNMP devices that don't actually reboot but the snmp service restarts at particularly inconvenient times causing some unappreciated (especially by my wife) pages at all hours. I stopped…

Unfortunately, no dynamic reverse DNS resolution is implemented in IPSLA Manager. However, IP addresses that represent nodes in Orion are displayed as node names instead. If there is a specific IP address of your interest, you may consider adding it as a node (it may be even unmanaged) so it displays its name instead of…

I used this to remove about 1700 of 3700 records out of my 4000 license. Just an example ... don't use unless you have a backup and know what you are doing. Delete from dbo.IPAM_Node Where Exists (Select IPAM_Group.AddressN from IPAM_Group where (IPAM_Group.AddressN= IPAM_Node.IPAddressN or IPAM_Group.AddressEnd=…

After doing some digging around on 2 year posts here on thwack, I found a resolution. I had to reboot the virtual appliance. Once it came back on line, the new node in question was immediately discovered and now displays in LEM.
