Ensure an hour a week is allocated for training and then get certified. Force software upgrades - when Windows 8 comes out every one upgrades Day 1 and learns how to fix problems that pop-up. No more "I like XP or Windows 7" the customer is upgrading and everyone needs to know how to fix the new stuff. Install all Windows…

I'm considering replacing those ThinkGeek prizes with gift cards for this: Buy Bacon, Bacon Gifts, and Bacon of the Month Clubs - Bacon Freak - Free Shipping

Me neither. I have absolutely no idea what they're driving at with that one.

I believe you ecklerwr1. Question: what browser are you using?
-
I have. We generally migrate a copy of our production database and install the RC on a separate server. I did uninstall the old RC of NPM before installing this one. Is there something I missed?

very nice article

ryan.davis26, just one.

I have 3 of them at the moment and will likely add more. Very very nice hardware to work with.

ScottRich, this is why we sometimes throw in some more challenging questions. After all, we're giving away prizes every month, so there are plenty of chances to win in the end.

Robert Browning, martinstenner, we still got your answers. There is some issue with the logic for this survey and I'm trying to correct it. However, if you click submit, your answers are recorded just fine. No worries.

I used Windows native search and don’t see any options to hide or reveal hidden files. I also used a different tool that supports +H and –H Booleans. Since I didn’t specify either I assume that it looked for hidden files too Did you see my question about WMI Monitor? Gabor

aaswi, correct! SDN and NFV will need more flexibility which is not possible with CLI !

Don't forget to submit your answers for the Mission Accomplished! March 2016 Mission Recap: Own The Throne by Sunday to receive 250 thwack points!

We like the product but will be forced to drop it without cluster mode support.

This is a fill-in-the-blank type of question, so you need to enter the correct answer, otherwise the page keeps refreshing. Once you guess the answer, you will be sent to the next page, to insert your thwack username. Hope this makes sense.

I agree, this is frustrating. I have multiple nodes with an unknown machine type. This should fill in automatically, but also be a User editable field with the ability to create new types.
-
The problem is that it gives you no indication that ANY word you chose is correct, so you could have two correct words and one wrong one, change one of the answers that's right, and be none the wiser.

I was able to expand on your query and add the policy rule patterns to the report. This works great and gives me what I was looking for! Select P.Name AS Policy_Name, PR.Name AS Rule_Name, PR.Comment AS Policy_Description, PRP.BeginBracket AS BB, PRP.Condition AS Condition, PRP.PatternType AS PatternType, PRP.Pattern AS…

This never happens where I work. (I wish)

One of the problems in this type of issue for us is not the server hosting the website but all the back end systems that are needed to support it. What I would like to see is an full application mapping and monitoring of all networks, applications, servers - VM / VM hosts / files / db ect. that need to be up and working…

Also concur as we have numerous customized cyber security appliances, including WIDS/WIPS, Bluetooth detection/tracking, etc., that could readily be integrated into LEM via an appropriate open source toolkit. We do much of our work in Python and Ruby, and I can't imagine it would be incredibly difficult for us to implement…

Some of your thoughts made me think about video games - another example where communities where the vendor participation is a very clear sign of their commitment and development of their community. Essentially is it's easy to create a community, hard to build/sustain one Just like monitoring tools, they aren't set and…

What about Tampa, FL? Also, will there be an offshoot for DoD customers?

Hey guys, Thanks for letting us know. I'll have to check with the team. Meanwhile, I closed the question, and will reopen it once we clarify this.

This is a must have feature for us, we store all data in UTC and need the browser to translate date's to browser timezone rather than web server time.

gtalton, I ran into this issue just recently and I needed to pass creds to Powershell in order to interact with our own product's API. Then I finally found that the PowerShell Monitor only really provides the ${CREDENTIAL} object to be used with the PowerShell "Get-Credential" cmdlet. If your use-case will allow you to…

Guys, a quick announcement: The platform on which the questions are hosted will be conducting a system maintenance today, October 23rd at 10PM Mountain Time. We can expect about 2 minutes of service interruption. So, if you're having issues with some of the questions, don't panic, wait for a couple of minutes, and then try…

Bshopp I turned the logging to verbose but I don’t see how to access the log to send it to you. Where would it be?
