I have just talked with SW tech support and they state that NBar and CBQos is available thru NTA v3sp4. Is this correct? I think there's been a mis-communication. NTA does not support NBAR or CBqos yet.

Thanks, that looks like a good idea; I was just hoping for something with less of a learning curve (I'm not a developer). Hopefully I can carve out the time to dig into that sometime soon.

Yes, I just found something similar on a Cacti forum and I think that is it (I used .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1). It returned the following, which looks promising. Now I just need to read up on how to make a custom poller. Thanks! RFC1155-SMI::enterprises.9.9.13.1.3.1.2.1 = STRING: "XPP"…

Rizwan, Sorry, it has been so long since I looked at EOC I could not tell you. I think we did get this resolved but honestly can't remember what was done. I have since moved to another job and no longer support EOC (thank God).

Looks like you've found a new bug. Can you open a support ticket and include a link to this thread. Also run diagnostics and attach those to the ticket.

Because there are some addresses in the file, I pasted the trigger info, let me know if thats enough for you. <AlertDefinitions><AlertDefinition AlertDefID="{07F8E809-6854-4B37-94F4-195476426062}" AlertName="Interface Input Errors" AlertDescription="This alert monitors the custom Interface Input Errors Poller. Yes, 11.5. I guess I'll just wait to see if anyone helps. I have been back and forth through everything. SolarWinds has too.

You can create an alert from the trapviewer. -Launch the Trapviewer>(start>programs>solarwinds Orion>syslog and trap>trapviewer -Select the trap message>right click>add rule. -Under Alert Action>add action>send an email/page>enter your credentials. May be it help.

Would the CompressedRowID field coming back as NULL make the query not work?

It is scheduled for a future release.

So do the developers have any ideas, because my support tech just asked me what event log error I'm seeing again. I included that error in the first email I sent, this is getting a little old.

As recommended by SolarWinds Support I used Process Explorer to diagnose svchost CPU usage. Based on advice on web posts I began by disabling Automatic Updates since we are using a formalized change management process. svchost CPU usage dropped to zero almost immediately. So it appears it was just a coincidence that I…

We have an integrated seperate server setup. I'm not positive about what's happening, but at the end of the support case I was being told that when a device that sent traps to any server but the NCM server ran the alert, there wasn't any way to make sure the external program was executed on a specific server. Orion has…

Hi Team...it seems for some reason this topic isn't quite garnerning the attention we had hoped for. Is there a way to further engage back with Solarwinds Product Management on this topic?

OK, so I fixed this. I can now have view restrictions across the entire web console enforced based upon the user limitation. Running the config wizard in step 16 from the instructions in the admin guide is actually not needed - it overwrites the custom.config file that changes the <identity impersonate="true" /> back to…

It's scheduled for an upcoming SP.

While at CiscoLive, we've been doing some analysis of where the web UI is slow. We've already got some ideas for how to make that workflow a lot faster. Stay tuned.

Both Brandon and Denny hear you. :) What are the tasks you all are doing that are painful? Are you using grouping to limit the number of items that show up at a time? The more details about pain points you can give us, the better we can focus our efforts. Going after 'X is slow' might result in us going after something you…

Oh okay. I feel better now. In regards to the dynamic capability, will it have the flexibility to configure individual "poller profiles" based on one or more text strings using nodename, DNS name, custom property, subnet or supernet? If not, consider this a feature request.

The next version that Haley was referring to is 9.0.

Hi Alterego, Oh..I missed clarifying upon180 days, I have mentioned this to suggest upon the database size keeping in view above mentioned count. However, My concern here is , if keeping all component npm, ncm, ipam and UDT on same system then report may suffer performance. Should we configure reports separately? In…

I know these are very generic, but I was hoping to cast as big a net as possible.

Thanks. Got it. We're looking into why this issue persists.

Yes, by the end of the day, you will have all the points.

Thank you for your quick response. I have the file in that directory, but when I open the file and do a search for AspBufferingLimit, it says text not found. Any ideas why?

Ok. Thank you.
