Hi Ian This report is an ARP report, so it is extracting the data from the ARP cache of the devices and then doing a lookup on the IP address, so it is not a switch port to MAC address report. That would be ideal but its something I have not looked into at the moment. Kind Regards James

thanks for the info. When I looked at my polliing engine, it says Engine ID = 4. With regard to your suggestion, I would set the query to 4 not 2, correct?
-
Probably next year.

Thanks cvachovecj, I'll give that a try later!

That worked for that report and I fixed the report for 7 days, last month and this month. However there is yet another report that I need your help to fix. Average and Peak Traffic Rates - WAN Interfaces Last 7 Days does not show any info.

byrona No problem, see my edited comments. Honestly, I wouldn't want to try to account for this and I did give my best answer above to the problem. Lastly, the last line is 56 characters, you would need to check multiple keys and ensure it's 64 and 56 only. Of final note, *IF* you happen to have a 56 or 64 non white space…

Uggg! Well thank you for your response. I'm going to continue poking around with things for a bit. If I do happen to come up with something I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks again!
-
Did the connector team have a response? Do you have any other ideas of where to search.
-
Any progress?

Thanks Jiri! Both FRs coming in next release, right?

Goodluck Sir Jed! Next week na exam mo? =)

Switch Port Mapper comes close, but I only care about 3 interfaces so it is a little excessive in all the data it returns. And I still have to run it 100 times to get all my switches. Thanks though, I'd forgotten about that tool. It's better than what I was doing originally! It works but I'm still looking for something…

Ken, This issue has been extremely hard to reproduce in house. Without the ability to reproduce at will, we have to work on various hypotheses about what's going on. We created what we thought was a fix, and tried it with a couple of cusotmers, but it didn't fix the problem. We are now re-examining diagnostics and working…

Ken, Klomper2007 is right about adjusting the alerts so that you're not getting alerted on "unknown". If you don't want to do that, another way to suppress the alerts is adjust the interval on the Trigger Condition tab so that it won't alert until a condition has been true for 10 minutes (which I assume is 2 polling…

I can see the Hash query – but it’s showing /* DYNAMIC_SQL (No SQL text reported by database) */ Do you know any way to figure out what’s running? Right I figured that out after I re-read it trying to un-rockstar my head. So lastly, if I do end up using the maps, is there a way to view node groups in MM by those different properties (much like the manage node page).
-
I think I have it… I’ll post results in a few…. Thanx!

You could also use logoff user if you've got an agent on the system, it might interrupt them... all of these things are after the fact, but if they are doing a lot of damage you could catch it mid-stream. If it's USB they are copying to/from, you can also detach the device with USB-Defender...

We believe this is due to overloading the switches with SNMP queries. The UDT queries are bulk requests and could take some time for the query to resolve. If you have another application (ex: NPM) trying to run SNMP queries against the machine at the same time, it could be possible that there are query timeouts. Mav, is…

Stewie, Please open a Support ticket, and we'll try to reproduce and get it patched.

Thanks Haley. The job I'm referring to is configuration change report that we have run right after the nightly backup for all of our devices. We have different groups that the devices belong to and want a separate report per group. Does the configuration comparison for the last downloaded configuration in the nightly…

Nandish/Francois, Thanks for opening a enhancement request. Being able to select reports to display in the resource will be great to have.
-
Great! you just made the product team's weekend. Thanks for the positive feedback.

I am having this exact same problem, but we have bought and paid for the software. also there is nothing there in the %ProgramFiles%\EminentWare\Server folder

Hi Mav I dont like banging on about the discovery filter as it is something that has been requested so many times, but if SolarWinds really want to progress into the automation aspect of the product, this is the primary key if I can put it that way. As some customers and I am talking about large customers, already have a…
-
yes we definitely need to improve the discovery filter options. We took some of this feedback into account when we built UDT, but we aren't currently focusing on this problem today. :| I was hoping there would be at least some improvements in discovery filtering in the works for the next release with all the complaints and…

As you can see from below I have specified a group of transactions and i've tried limiting it to just one... and only one of these transactions will work in my custom view. The rest will not display and come up with the permissions error above. Is there any way I can alter the permissions so that my custom view is able to…

SP1 is automatically included in the eval if you downloaded after SP1. If you downloaded before SP1, then download again and just run the Update.exe.

Thanks. Walt

How do I do this just for an eval if I am running v8?
