Now there are 25235 rows in the table. The last ticket with the old number schema is 25453 and the last of the new schema is 1000056 Thank you a lot. Edit: I would restart the sequence, for example, in 25500

Yes they are on the same drive. I did set the 10 MB to see if the warning would disappear.

Thank you for the reply. The Hostname column is visible in my syslog viewer but is populated with the IP address. The Sysname and Caption columns are also visible in the syslog viewer and are populted with the friendly name that I want to use in the email alerts but the variable I would normally use for these names does…

Hey vijay.das, I can change your username to vijay09. Is there any other detail you would like to change or just the username?
-
Thanks, I'll look for that! Is this done by adding a widget to the Portal page and assigning this "custom query" as the content? Sorry for the newbie questions...

Orion 9 is still a few months out. It will provide a new custom poller that can access table-based MIBs, so it will allow customers to poll these devices. There will not be an upgrade within orion or within the wireless module. It will be a new native ability within core Orion.
-
You can find universal pollers that other Thwack users have shared here.
-
Ok, I've added that to the alert, but I receive this error: I assume this is because it is alerting on a custom poller and not on a node, so the node itself isn't actually triggering the alert. The only other option in the "Affected Node" drop-down is to select a specific node, which would be fine if we only had one UPS to…

I'm using wunderground.com. I think I've discovered my answer, I believe I have to paste a simple map as a .jpg into the Atlas Map builder. My question is, where can I find one on weather.com that has the right size? Also, where is the script located at that I need to set the scheduled task?
-
Jon, The problem you're seeing is much better on 9.0.

Is this possible that after removing FOE secondary server remain at standby and in case of failure we manually make secondary active? Is there any such senario without FOE??
-
Thanks Ice, that is what we have been doing but I want to know if it is possible to have a default setting rather than having to click through each individual one. One a t a time is a pain.
-
Hmmmm...well I opened a case # 106912 and send diagnostics

I was able to hide some maps from the All Maps view by using Windows Explorer to find them and then actually hiding the file. One caveat to this is that you must unhide the file before Map Maker will let you save changes to it. Still, it works great.

This is great. Solved a major pain. Thank you!

Hey Curtis, Here is a snapshot of the rule. It's little hard to see but there is the original security alerts (SA) the SA clone, and the SA test. SA, SA Clone all have over 1000 alerts and the SA test has 0. They've been running for about the same mount of time. Also there is no X next to the SA test indicating it is off…

It's hard to troubleshoot this kind of problem on Thwack. I would recommend that you open a Support ticket.
-
I can tell you that it's on the roadmap, and we've been making backend changes across releases to make it possible.
-
I think what amondol is asking is if IPMonitor can have a "copy running-config startup-config" command added to save the current running configuration to the startup configuration file in NVRAM.
-
We'll look at this one.
-
Thanks, Todd! We were having intermittent failures on config saves and while tonight's full basckup job will be the real test, so far today after changing the template it seems to be better. To Chris LaPointe: This line is different: <Command Name="DownloadConfigIndirect" Value="copy ${ConfigType}…

Just look at the difference between adding devices through the management interface on the server and the website. Are you on v9 or v9.1?
-
Thanks!

We think we know the fix, but the change is not trivial, so we're thoroughly testing it internally. After that, we'll test with a few customers who have opened tickets. Then we release it. Days not weeks.

Mike, your SQL query was returning the same results as my above standard Report, but it did get me thinking: Select COUNT (Distinct Building) as UniqueBuildings From Nodes Was what I was looking for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
-
We were looking in a different spot initially, but now we have reproduced this issue. I suggest you open a support ticket so you'll know when we have a fix available. I'll also get it logged into our internal tracking system.

Hi, I've found a solution with vbscript. I did the same for aix and linux systems. linux script is executed locally in the orion server? I understand linux script opens a ssh session and execute the script. Is this same for vbscript? thanks

I have read the material and I still have some questions about the Hot Standby. Basically it seems like this takes over for the polling of the main NPM server. We have an additional poller. I assume the load balancing portion that goes to the main NPM will fail over to the Hot Standby? Our help desk accesses SW via the…

Not sure exactly what your issue is with your EOC but ours had a big error on the web page. I could click on some of the links at the top but the main page would nto come up error free. What I had to do was look at and comapre the CP's of each Orion that was connected. You could try to uncheck the Orion's one at a time and…
