I have got the same problem as ctopaloglu. I manage around 800 devices and it is very hard for me to spot what devices have changed. At the moment, this email only discourages me to read it! :P

Hi Tomas, Thanks for the update. I am unable to find the configuration collection timeout value. Could you please help me where to find the value and how to increase it ? Note: We are in 24/7 support, while replying to this mail please select the option “Reply to all” or mail to this group id “GLOBE: GTS Wintel (Offshore)”…

What happens when their signature is included?

For the additional events, we should be able to add these to the connector hooked up to the Sophos DB. You might have to submit a request once you've got it hooked up (or submit a ticket if you can't get it up and running). And for the error messages that a couple of you are seeing or trouble getting Sophos connected at…

I still cant get it to work even with the template. First off the command on my WLC is sh run-config, and the template has running-config which errors out. Changing the template to run-config fixes that, but now I have to go through a series of press enter to continue prompts. These range depending on the device to around…

Bit of an update. I have now found that the search box works if you detach it from the main view, but if you search whilst its docked in the main summary view it fails to return results. Really would appreciate some or a steer on this, thanks Mark

Right. Re-apply and do NOT run the config wizard. See if the problem persists.

It works!! great!

There are actually 3 resources- a view, an edit, and a SQL action (bouncing in ASP) also, because it uses the old ASP classic, the view.asp must go through the legacyproxy. Either way, the first 2 resources are HUGE...and then the tables that are needed- I think there are around 20 new tables I added. The "Connected…

Cool! Please post the resource....

It's also a symptom of the interface not being fast enough to accept all packets that need transmitted(Congestion). Example: We have some DS3 that can't empty packets fast enough entering the router through the FastEthernet port. You can either upgrade the speed of the interface or guarantee your most important traffic has…

Oooh interesting, we have the same server, although you have more RAM and local disks. Perhaps we should scale up a little if it can handle that many rows - we thought we'd hit a limit on SolarWind's end (for a single instance) at around 35 million rows.
-
It's not in the next release, but it's still on the roadmap.

If this affects my device(s), will this cause reports to be incorrect, i.e utilization/traffic reports?
-
Yes that was the 1st thing i tried.

Another way to do this is and is more simple is to make a custom property for the nodes An example of a custom property is System Type, and the value can be Servers, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, or anything you want. then you can build a basic condition that says to alert on any node where the custom property has a value…

Sounds like you want to show ipMonitor data. Would you want that same style of view within Orion?

The pollers do not have to be stopped. Thanks Mark.

How about a option for displaying bps in the small pup-up/tracer windows instead of procent utilization?

Hi henry gonzalez, Could you please tell me which is the online documentation are you talking about? Thanks!

I'm polling our APC Metered PDUs for their amp load. Since they are all 208v, the PDUs present both legs of the circuit and the total for the whole PDU. I really like the new graph that I display in the host 'vital stats' tab, but I'd like to show just the totals of all PDUs in a custom view (dashboard) for our NOC staff…

Thanks - development has confirmed what you're seeing and is investigating a resolution. nDepth log storage defaults to "off" (you can always search alerts), so if you haven't turned it on, you're okay there. Enabling it in the tools doesn't cause any harm or take up any space until the appliance has it enabled. So, what's…

I don't think you need to create hotmail node. You certainly can, but you could just assign your messenger monitor to any node. Requiring you to assign the HTTP monitor to a node is a sub-optimal quirk of our design.

Yes. The generated URL fails with "Cannot connect to JMX server Check connection properties, please." I've also tried it in jconsole as well with no avail. This also failed with the following exception "Exception in thread "JConsole.addUrl" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid JMX URL: service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi:/…

Unfortunately they are not.

"unmanaged" would be my preference. And resolved in V2 would be great too. The app should inherit the status of the parent Node except, obviously, when the app itself changes status.

It looks like "Rediscovery" is the key here like you mentioned in your first reply. I checked the "NextPoll" time as you suggested and it looks like invoking "PollNow" via API is working but its functionality doesn't seem to mirror the "Poll now" option in the GUI. I noticed when I do a "Poll now" in the GUI, it updates…

yes i'm running 1.5.1 no x,y mode and it occurs for 4 out of our 6 transactions

Yea I'd already read this post, however when I get to the schedule task option I never get a wizard to setup times/days, it just runs the CMD and puts my nodes in downtime for that exact moment.

rkearney, This requires the port not be shut down and as well it gives you an idea of the second rule as to how to require something else as well. I should also explain that you can conditional like this and then follow it all with an OR must not contain whatever the condition was. Let me know if you have any further…
