Hi Lukas, I have opened Case # 276538 Regards, Graham
-
Please work faster and harder, I have over a 1000 locations, cant use static maps :(
-
The good news is that in Orion 9, we have a major upgrade to the custom poller, which will address all of these issues.
-
David's right--for NetFlow, the bottleneck is rarely CPU. It's usually Disk I/O on the database. RAID 1+0 provides most users much better performance for NTA.
-
This will be fixed in the next version of NTA, which is due this quarter. If you'd like, join the beta here:

Ahh!!! You're a genius!! I changed s.status to '1', since that is the "Up" status. But other than that it appears to work. Also I'm not sure why, but when I test the Custom Poller as I assign it, I get many responses, but when I run the report, I only see a fraction of those nodes listed in the report. For example,…

I would like to see some of these worked out. I know everyone is busy doing other things, but regex also has baffled me. I hope we can get some of these posted.
-
gilchn, make sure you mark ecklerwr1's answer correct/helpful, if that solved your issue.
-
That was it! I changed DEVICE+MORETEXT to = "" and it's running! Thanks so much. I had that set to ":" because if I piped a command to "more" it would have a ":" as the prompt. I figured that's what that variable meant, must have been something different. Makes no difference now anyway. Thanks again!

Hey mteichrob, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you please tell us what browser are you using?
-
Downloaded V9, read this thread and 8.5.1 is still running just fine ;). Sorry, just had to do that. LOL This was great! Ditto for me but I haven't gone as far as the download yet.
-
Are you still seeing the issue with NPM 9.1?
-
Great to hear that! So the issue was more in the product than the forum, right?
-
@NetEng33 Have you been able to have NPM detect your UCS without using port 80?
-
Yes
-
Thanks for the reminder, appreciated.
-
Has this matured into a working template or script yet????
-
That report seems to do what I am wanting and I hve been able to modify it for some of my specific needs. My alerts appear to be working properly. I have gotten a few of the resets to come back when they were expected. I have discovered that the issue is not the alert, but the fact that the Orion server is unbale to ping…

quote:Originally posted by Network_Guru I only see this on our 4507R's when we enable L3 routing. The CPU does not spike, but the ICMP echo reply latency goes way up. It basically makes the latency graph useless for alerting or troubleshooting the switch. Devices pinged through the switch are fine. NG Very interesting,…

Your request for assistance has been received. Case #240822 - "Search Config File Function Doesn't Work"
-
I actually had CustomPollers to begin with and changed it. Both values gave the same error.
-
Has anyone come up with a valid solution\fix for this problem? I find this very hard to duplicate and at the same time very frustrating.
-
No. We really can't provide time frames.
-
murpr@hvfcu.org, you might want to personalize a bit the username, since "User" is already taken.
-
We intend to leverage Kiwi's technology and the Syslog-related expertise of that team to enhance Orion's syslog functionality, but that's not happening in v9.5, so we don't have details yet on exactly what we plan to do.
-
You would need admin rights for this, that's why I did it. However, if you want to change some other details of your account, you can click on the dropdown menu next to your username, and then go to Edit profile & privacy.

Another quick update in case anyone cares... I decided to alert on the Battery Time Remaining instead, for anything with less than 5 minutes where cpa.AssignmentName like '%upsAdvBatteryRunTimeRemaining%' and cps.RawStatus < 30000 Once again, thanks for everyone's help!

I just want to remaove the FOE. Also i want that my secondary server work as standby server and we manually update it and in case of failure of primary (active) server we make the standby server active manually by assigning ip address of primary to it?? Is this possible?
-
Hey guys. What kind of device are you running these pollers against? They're behaving a little differently then other devices we've seen. Typically, at the end of a GetBulk request, devices will return the next OID after the table. With these, it seems to repeat the last row of the table. When talking with some of our…

sorry for late reply been away for a bit. If you set up the MS TCP Interface and used the IP that is associated with the SQL then all data collected is just SQL traffic. You should be able to compare this with the traffic you see on the cluster node and it should only be a potion of the full traffic you see on the node…
