  • Be default, NCM comes with a Purge config job. You can set that job to run once, daily, weekly, or monthly. Currently, all you can do is purge all configs before a specified date or purge all config except the X most recent. So there is no rolling method to delete configs older than 365 days.

  • The first thing to check is to go to your device in question. Can you manually type in the tftp command and successfully transfer the config? If not, the issue is on the device itself.

  • Go to your NCM application File/settings/network and look at the Telnet/SSH settings. Specifically the Prompt timeout. If it is around 24 seconds, then the cli commands are waiting for this Prompt timeout each time and could cause and lag you see. If so, try to lower it to around 5 and test if it the difference coincides.
  • Run the NCM configuration wizard again. Choose the option for Startup options. Follow the wizard and it will give you an opportunity to set the Service account as the default account to run jobs as.
