Maybe you need to run the 64-bit version :)
-
K.. but how do I get the new tftp server code to install?
-
Thanks PatWill, That's officially a "keeper" in my book! Don
-
Stephensa, Ouch! Hmmm.. the other thing I did (before I ran the instructions...) was I un-installed APM 2.0, then re-ran Orion configuration (all options).. then I re-installed APM using Add/Remove programs. Worked fine since..... I'd be interested to know what support finds out. Don

Denny, I looked, and it set the same. Oddly enough, the Admin account works, and the dbarry account doesn't. I see one difference in the Views for Each Account screen..See attached!
-
Easy.... change Applications.FullName to Applications.ApplicationName
-
Just noticed the same thing.. report is always blank! Do we have a bug??
-
Sure does. Looks like this process doesn't get shut down when we run the configuration wizard. We DO have a couple maps that reference background on external websites (weather maps). Don

For API access:create a read only account (on the local host, not in virtual center or AD)enable vsphere web access services on the esx hostset the vsphere web access service to auto startopen web access services ports on the firewallassign new account read only permissions to the VM’s on the host (so it can log into the…

Actually that chart is wrong.. If you upgrade an ESX 3.5 to 4, you still see CPU and disk in SNMP. On clean ESX4 installs you don't even see CPU... Nor as a VMWare server... it comes up as a 'Net-SNMP' device
-
Ran it... ran clean, no errors.. said some 168 row affected. Case is 22624 Thanks!
-
Thanks Denny!
-
Mark, Worked like a champ - You da man!! Don
-
I agree that it seems to be a bit slower!
-
I agree.. Orion's a tool, not a SNMP reporter. I all I needed was a SNMP reporter, there's plenty of freeware tools to do that. SolarWinds just needs to be like the Marines... "improvise, adapt and overcome" Don

Oh, I see all the work and trust me, I'm happy about it. It just seemed to me (although after trying to piece it together, no success) that it would be a fairly minor thing to do - hack up a new resource file. I guess I need to take some programming classes!!!!!
-
Thanks JT - that fixed a problem (PEBKAC) for me too! Don
-
I had that too - I always use the services manager to shut everything down first, back up the data and the WWW, and then run the patch. Don
-
Denny - I still haven't gotten a call from the ticket I put in yesterday! I'll put in another! Don
-
Any plans for making the a group master baseline a feature soon?
-
Sweet!!! Thanks Everyone!!
-
Thanx Mark!

How about a workaround for the infamous "unmanaged interface" warnings generated by any cisco router? By this I mean the unlisted VoIP-Null0 interface. I don't care that it's Cisco's fault... we need an "off switch" for this annoyance! Don
-
Can you share the SQL code for this one? Would make something nice for the Content Sharing Zone!
-
That works for scheduled jobs but not for the configuration change alert.... as they're isn't a scheduled job.
-
Andy, Yes, I did - no interface by that name Don
-
Easy - all of the stuff we used to get from the Mail and Directory Management Information Base (MADMAN MIB) would be great. As I understand WMI, the data can be "walked" just like SNMP. I'd use a program much like the new SNMP poller, but with the WMI interface. Another thought would be to make a "shim" to poll WMI via…

My experience is that you have to reboot the server to get everything sync'd to the change. Don
-
Still the case. I guess we will have to look at ditching NTA and picking up Scrutinizer when we do our Solarwinds maintenance renewal this fall. Appears to be a much more robust product too.
