Yes. I will grab any policy attached to the report and any rule attached to the policy attached to the report. The only thing it will not bring in is the folder name in which you have placed the report on the old server, but this is a minor thing.

There is an easy way to do this. Depending on your Report/Policy/Rule count you can export each Report As A File to your local desktop. Then move the file so you can access, then Import. It is actually fairly easy and simple to do. If you would like some screen shots on a "how to guide" let me know.

maltenfort you may need to have the scripts setup to run on devices based on a specified Custom Property given the state/status of the device. Running a script via "job" once a week or month to ensure your devices are updated per your requirement may need to be configured.

I use custom properties at the moment but would like to do more. Unfortunately, I just do not have time to dive deep into it as I am running 4 different types networks with 4 different Solarwinds Solutions across the globe by myself. I really need 3-5 more people.

This is a good topic for someone that is looking increase their thwack pointage. Getting the data that is currently available on Thwack, providing how-to guides, and providing several examples. Better yet, How about a contest or Data call such as "Shows us your Map Data" much like "Show us your NOC View" contest.

If you go to Start > (command box) psr then run as Administrator. Once opened you need to changes setting to 100. This will capture screen shots on every click.
-
It does sound like you have a permissions issue. Can you supply screen shots? You can send them to me at solarwinds@courtesyit.com.

Make sure any Antivirus and HIPS products will allow the connection. Make sure you have installed Orion with the UAC slider to the bottom. Make sure you install Orion "As administrator". Are both servers in the same subnet? Are SQL services running on the SQL server?

Have you tried to upgrade to NPM 11.5.3 then rerun the NCM upgrade?
