For the F5 Mem transform, that won't display in the web GUI I'm using GET NEXT on both pollers within it. Using "GET" for these pollers is not supported. The Transform has been tested and is returning the correct results in the UnDP app. But Gauges won't appaer for it in the website and charts never show any result. The…

Hi Did anyone ever find a solution for this issue? We use Notes and I have been experiencing the issues mentioned above .ie no graphs just formatting info from the web page. It renders the report sceduler for us almost completely useless and it would have been a major feature that we would have utilised. I work for…

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I ended up going for Firefox with the 'ReloadEverey' and 'TabSlideShow' addons and it works a treat. Very simple and very free it does exactly what it says on the tin. Thanks for your support Ciag

Hi cmatrask, if you want to clear/purge the messages you can easily do this by logging into your polling server right click the queues your messages are stuck on, in the all tasks menu you should be able to 'Purge' My issue was that after I cleared them more appeared soon after. In the end I had to raise a ticket. For me…

yep that definitely does help thanks. I'm happy to hear that the NCM resources can have restrictions applied to them. The node Import Job is something I've considered using before but never actually used. We have a pretty hectic network with a lot of changes happening each week and devices being added or removed everyday.…

The one in the very top bar that lies on the right hand side of where the solarwinds.logo.jpg sits

Thanks for your posts guys 1. All custom web pages will not run 2. Some maps will look wierd, you'll have to redo some of them Those 2 points alone are very concerning to me. We have a significant number of Custom web pages and many many maps; some of which are quite complex to create due to the number of devices and links…

Wow this is an old topic :-D. Since then there have been a number of solutions we have used for this. The most recent of which is the Message Centre which now displays syslog traps alerts and events in the single window. However my favourite for an over all view of incoming messages has to be the syslog and SNMP trap…

Hi Denny, Yeah I am aware of the actions and filters in the trap UI however none of them will allow the forwarding of traps to the Event Viewer. I understand that alot of your other customers would probably have no need to have traps forwarded to the event viewer. But we have filtered our traps before they reach Orion…

thanks for you reply, node & interface managment is supposedly centralised into the web GUI now. This feature should be working from there. I can no longer view any nodes in the system manager since 9.5 upgrade or there abouts. I'm aware of a work around to correct this but I'd rather just get the feature working in the…

hi, as Borgan suggested previously you can insert your own logo as long as your JPG is no larger than 150 pixels and you save it using the filename ReportHeader.jpg then all you need to so is store that file in the following location. Program Files/Solarwinds/Orion This will allow the change the logo but I haven't seen an…

Hi Mav, thanks for your reply. That's great news about the additional polling 'elements that the 10.2 engine can handle, it will certainly make a bick difference to my environment. I pressume the limitation of the 10,000 is an imposed one and not an application limitation, which I sort of get.... With regards to the 3…

Hey that's excellent thanks you very much!!! I have a follow up question in regards to the previous IPSLA VOIP sites question. I currently have a situation where a node I was previously using to monitor VOIP is now monitoring TCP connect. However the VOIP site that was attributed to this node/operation is still present in…

5. User management / authentication - ability to directly leverage NPM users for authentication rather than linking to NCM users in Orion website I'm probably getting a little off topic here with this, but if NPM user accounts were to be used instead of linking with NCM would it continue to be a static password encrypted…

Yeah that's a good Idea thanks I think we will start only saving the file that have changed. Don't worry about the baselines there was a few crossed wires here on this end, it doesn't affect us how we manage our policy configs for the moment. thanks again Ciag

Hi ken, yep we tried the active DS0's oid a while ago :- ) The output of the results were definitely much clearer than the ISDNbearer status oid but if I remember correctly the results only displayed a very small number of channels compared with the ISDNbearer status oid. I pressume this is because we have multiple PRI's…

Hi Yann, yeah I have I used the isdnBearerOperStatus 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.20.1.2.1.1.2 from within the ISDN Bearer Entry table. it seems to display the states of the individual channels but it presents them in a pretty big table and from what I can see I cannot summarise the table data. i.e 23 active 10 inactive etc. Plus the…

Hi Steve, yeah I kinda figured there wasn't a way to adjust it. Thanks for the additional info and for your reply. Cheers :-)

Think I spoke too soon on this one lol. We're now experiencing an issue were the database is not longer keeping historical statistics for Response time and packet loss. The gauges for resp and pack loss are working but no historical data is being written to the DB. Node status is unaffected by this and is operating as…

Thank you very much Haley, I found the tutorial just after I posted that (typical). Thanks for your help anyway Cheers Ciaran

Ok, sorry for taking so long, it's been hard to squeeze it time with the firewall guys to get the session trace done. I have completed the session trace now where do I send it to so you guys can have a look? Cheers

No the Syslog Table has a 2 week life span. This timeout issue was specific to 1 or 2 devices. I knew the messages were there because I could view them by manually entering SQL search quearies into the database manager, that was my work around. The fix was to edit the SWNetperfMon.db file, changing the connection and…

Yeah that seems to have done it, thanks

I agree also the yellow is quite difficult to see clearly Kind Regards

Thank you all for your answers @ nathatnwilson@bloominbrands.com yes I was assuming that by selecting IP_address that the field would be treated as if it were an integer. thank you for the clarification @ xtraspecialj I am actually using these alerts to auto populate node custom properties based on address range which is…

Would love to see this type of functionality also, specifically around encrytion of config file database and any sensitive data.

Upgraded yesterday evening, went reasonably smooth, we had plenty of hitches along the way but nothing we hadn't dealt with before and none of them were serious. Without going into too much detail we had issue with shutting down the NPM Service as it kept restarting, the module engine was deleted, the alerting engine was…
