LOL. I have seen those listed in the guide. My thumb and brain fight over the remote when those listings appear. Thankfully, my thumb has not won this battle.

minimally, trust me..i would tell you exactly, however the timing to reveal this info may be early. i would direct message alterego for a straight answer

Nothing easier than having someone else do it! My way let's you build whatever you want though.

Sigh - an improvement

This is awesome. Can't wait to read how to use it! (Oh, wait.)

Disable all win updates, then restart? K

Ok, what's with the 1987 fax machine?

I think I see what you're doing. It looks like you're using NPM. I'm not familiar with NPM; however, I think you're right - just put the URL to the ticker you want in a CUSTOM HTML resource. Might wanna post this in the NPM forum to be sure though.

This is where I stored the image.

Don't really need to see the environment. Just looking for tips and tricks you use that others might benefit from, like the example above. Thanks though.

In high school (circa mid 80s) I learned BASIC, Pascal, Machine/Assembly language. Heck, we were doing arithmetic (on paper) in hex and binary (sans calculator). My 11th grade final exam was to create a video game in Machine Language using the interrupt vector on the Commodore 64. We even created a program to read the…

EPIC FAIL! 500 MB download installed, rebooted, then updated TO THE SAME FAILURE/REVERTING screen. Microsoft. WTF??

@bprovencal - This method did not work. Thanks for playing. Up next? @">deverts. Please stand by...

There's about 30 in the queue. I did go back to the first failure, uninstalled it, then downloaded it and tried again. That failed. I would say problem solved but the updates after that also fail when I do the same thing.

Figured out the sluggish performance/typing lag issue. Apparently I have the minimum requirements for hardware and that's not enough! I5 quad core and 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM - sigh. Windows 8 cannot even handle simple colors anymore. Look at this screen grab I took AS I'M WRITING THIS.

But the good part is you can have a ton of databases at no additional cost. BTW, SAM 6.1 - RC 1 comes out today and has been outfitted with AppInsight for Exchange - if anyone's interested.

Like the "motivational poster." Yes I too loved XP, but I think 7 has just a little more going for it. Consider yourself lucky for having missed ME.

No way to add the pictures through Windows feature, if that is in fact the issue. Registry Clean is next and last try for tonight! Sigh.
-
Just a fun little ditty!

Written like a user because I am a user. If the user has problems using the OS, then yes, there is a problem. What good is a car with 800 horsepower if it cannot be driven?
-
Another fail. Cleaned the registry, re-did the 500 mb install, updated again, failure/revert...again.
-
BTW, the web version should be available tomorrow.

C'mon, no one beats Crucial.com when it comes to detecting what your rig could use.

I've had no issues with that VPN and Win 10.

Apparently, Microsoft in its infinite idiocy to be "hip" and "cool," has created Windows 8, but not yet released the Start button "upgrade." If you want it back (like I do) you can get it from here: Classic Shell - Start menu and other Windows enhancements Another company thriving because Microsoft is clueless, like the…

LOL - very good.

The real question is why are you watching a cooking competition???
