There is no template for JMX; however, there are Java templates available in the template library. To get to the JMX component, go to the APM settings page and click on Find Processes, Services and Performance Counters. JMX will be your first choice.

the count statistic as difference box means that value will be the difference between each poll, meaning if one poll returns 10 ans the next poll is 7 the diference value will be 3. ill get the other answers monday.

The Alerting and Reporting section of APM Admin guide starts here. Generally speaking, you want to set up thresholds (warning and critical). Those thresholds can be replaced by your number X, and Y, if you so desire.
