Well I THOUGHT it was fixed, but the collector service is flapping again. I don't see where I can set it as the answer, just mark as helpful. In any case it worked as I had hoped it would. Removed 61 devices from the audit.
-
Well, since it has been resolved, that link is no longer under the Summary page. I have the All Active Alerts box in the upper left corner where it lists the alerts, and the link I tried is under Triggering Object. When I clicked that link, all that happened was the summary screen reloaded. I'm running 12.0 on Orion…

I had the exact same issue after upgrading. This resolved it. Not sure why it didnt take care of the problem the first time it ran after the upgrade. but its fixed now.
-
Yep, he got me what I needed and I was able to create several reports now. I got a new one this morning. I created a report to run weekly and got my first emailed pdf. I now have a very nice PDF of the login prompt.
-
Some? LOL Many! I think Solarwinds is doing a better job with PSIRTs and EoL than the Smartnet Total Care site does. They still don't have a means to remove old equipment no longer in service, nor a way to prevent them from being listed in the reports so I have to spend hours weeding through everything for anything new.…
-
Yep, the is exactly what the issue was. Opened a case and got it resolved. Its going through the final configuration now to 12.0.1 & 7.5.1,
-
Well I applied the hotfix, and now the NPM service will not stay running. The Collector Polling Controller also stops. Re-running the configuration wizard now, but it looks like it may be hung.
-
Nothing changed other than a brief outage in the network. Ever since then, they show as unknown, even after deleting and readding the node. Very strange. What is even more strange now is they no longer show up as a problem node, even though all the interfaces are unknown.
-
Every time I try to look up the oids some old dude in a hoodie shows up and I forget what I was doing. Thanks, I will give this a try and see if it works.
-
So does it report utilization such as amp draw, estimated minutes when on battery, or anything like that? Thats primarily what I was looking for, to alert us when a UPS has a line condition issue, lost primary power, is on battery and has x # of minutes of uptime left.
-
Well I gave it a try, and get invalid OID when I tried to create it. The only MIB apparently is for the ethernet card and not for the UPS itself. The UPS itself comes up and Merlin Gerin, and none of the UPS pollers work. They all come up unsupported. I have the MIBs for these devices, but have no clue what to do with them…

That was quick. I finally got the darn thing working to where I can see all the nodes and verify that the data is good. Now onto SP2 and the VOIP QOS package! Having a website issue though, so I will be working on that next. I get this after putting in the login. Orion Website Error An error has occurred with the Orion…

Option B is most likely what we would go with. If we do this, can SAM be accessed via the Orion Console with the rest of NPM/NCM like the DB monitoring is?
-
How were you able to correct it and stay compliant?
-
That did it. Thanks, reporting correctly once again.
-
Where do I put this, in the subject or message? Ideally I want it in the subject line.
-
The ones that did not back up also showed the date of the upgrade since they ran that morning prior to the upgrade. And now that I look at it, the last backup done happened to be the ones I did on the 12th, so my scheduler is also not running.
-
I missed that one, but it answers my question for sure. I guess my phone proxies will remain unmonitored.
-
I went through the logs some more, looks like a windows update ran on the 15th, and ever since then the service has failed to start. I guess I will need to find out what updates were applied and roll them back to see if that fixes the problem.
-
This did it. Looks like it defaults to current user every time to edit the report. Since I was logged in as a domain user, it failed. Set it to use the regular admin and it runs fine now. Thanks.
-
I just got 4 of these this morning, and as the OP states, the links are useless as it does not point out WHY it increased. I reviewed the list of CVE and there are no new ones, so what triggered this? Would be nice to have a report that can be run that explains these alerts.
-
This resolved it. Apparently the installer has not been fixed for multiple drive installs. When I first upgraded to 10.x version from 8.x I ran into a tom of issues that all related to the installer putting the files on C drive and not knowing how to find the rest of the program. Solarwinds support made a registry hack to…

OSPF/BGP routing neighbors. I can get a report on all current active neighbors, but what I need are all the events that occurred over time of neighbors dropping for SLA reasons.
-
I have about 2000 nodes, the SQL server is by itself on a 2000 platform, but I go over a T1 to get to it until I complete the installation, then they will be on the same network. Is the fact the SQL server is remote the problem?
-
Yep, figured out that it was Email I had used in the past and got it working.
-
Three years later, same question, ticketing to Numara Footprints. On version 11.5 so would be great if this has been worked out.
-
Thats a good question. I have a current ticket opened due to them forgetting to add the ability to run off a drive other than C:, which makes me wonder if they applied the hotfixes after reinstalling the app several times.
-
YES! This worked for me also. Same thing, added NCM and had no more Admin page.
-
So there isn't a way for each user to have their own view. I noticed as I just rolled out 11.5 that any changes I made to a view under my AD account, are now seen by the rest of the users under their AD account. This could get cumbersome as each department would have their own views, such as the Database team, NOC,…
