We had an issue with DPA integration what required us to remove and re-add in the integration. This action removed the manual defined storage and application relationships that we had created. We would like an option to manually backup or somehow keep the data in the database until the nightly maintenance for these exact situations where we…

Does anyone know of a way to copy/duplicate a tab in a view, complete with the added resources? I may be missing something obvious, but haven't found a way to do this and it would save me TONS of time. I'm building a view with multiple left navigation tabs, but find it extremely tedious to keep having to add all the resources, set column… (Show moreShow less)

In the api there is a verb to clone a view, that creates a new view with all the same numbers of columns and widths and in the same viewgroup, which makes it a new tab, but it has no resources. Then there's also a verb for copy resources into a view. The nice thing if you aren't a powershell user you can call those verbs directly from the SWQL…

The overall status of the secondary AppInsight for SQL is always showing an Unknown Status. Update the AppInsight SQL template to support Always-On to identifying databases that are in a secondary condition as a valid status.

I want to draw attention to frequency/timeout. One thing would be nice if we could have a dropdown for minutes/hours/days to make things easier, but another would be if we could schedule this. Say, for example run this at 11AM every day or 11PM every night? Maybe with a menu similar to report scheduling or alert scheduling.

Alert The neighbor ${NeighborIP} on Node ${Node.Caption} went down. What variable can I add that will tell me the name of ${NeighborIP}, and how would I set up that neighbor in Orion for it to report properly? We get Neighbor down alerats, and dont know what device it is that went down until the node down alert is triggered, or not at all… (Show moreShow less)

Week 2 of the challenge has brought even more insights and wisdom than I imagined - although I should have expected it, given how incredible the THWACK community is day after day, year in and year out. As a reminder, you can find all the posts here: December Writing Challenge 2019. I also wanted to take a moment to to talk about the flexibility… (Show moreShow less)

It would be very nice if NPM could collect performance data from the HMC, like LPAR2RRD Free VMware and AIX performance monitoring and capacity planning

I would be nice if i could monitor and have a display at the physical ibm server level as well as all lpars and vios. Something like Vmware.
As most of you know already, SolarWinds stores the log files for all of its applications on the system drive (at least for Windows-based servers). This is a very bad idea, in my humble opinion. The system drive is, in some cases, pretty full already with the Windows system files. I think that it would be better to have the log files default to…
