Gamers Console

I was curious what the gamers thought. How many have an:

  • PS4
  • BOTH

Also, what is your favorite game?

  • neither...Xbox 360 and a gamecube

  • I don't know if my life is changing or my habbits or what, just unplugged my xbox1 and sold it and I have no desire to buy a replacement.  I do think the overall quality of the gaming industry has declined steadily over the years, long well thought out games with detail and depth seem to be developed less and less over the years.  Now cookie cutter fps seem to be everywhere.

  • agreed....not to mention the fact you have to pay a subscription to use the console after you buy the hardware. (xbox1 as I understand it)

  • Have neither of these. Don't really have time but like zuma games and the rubik cube

  • I've gone back and forth on which one is better for me.  Unfortunately, I have yet to pick a horse in this race...

I have owned the original XBOX and the 360 and loved both platforms, however, I'm frustrated with Microsoft for ignoring the needs of the out of the box consumer as I run my TV in my living room from an A/V cabinet 30 feet away and still have not made a cable for the Kinect that is longer than 9 ft. long.  I realize I can simply just not use the kinect, but paying close to $500 for a console seems silly if I can't use all of its features.  That pushed my attention to the PS4 and it looks like the selection of titles fits my demographic a bit better (33, Male).  Still not completely sure if I'll buy either, but I'm leaning towards Sony's offering.

One this is for sure though, I'm greatly enjoying the dip in prices for games for my 360!

  • I prefer tabletop, non-electronic, socially interactive games. Board games, card games, etc.

    But I do have a Nintendo 64 and a PS1.

I am thinking about picking up a Wii very soon, especially since the Wii (not the WiiU) will play GameCube games as well.

  • I actually have many consoles, if we are talking simply new consoles, I'm a PS4 girl.  I'm not a fan of Xbox, never have been.  I do have an original NES, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Genesis, Game Cube, PS1, ps2, ps3 and ps4...A Wii and I also have a Sega Master System.

  • XBOX One - Call of Duty (all FPS)

  • I would go Xbox One, you can integrate your TV into it now (DirecTV, etc), so many apps that can be added to enhance what you can do, plus browser support.  It really is a great platform, graphics are extremely good, can't complain.

  • Monoprice has Kinect extension cables - I have a 49ft version, and it works well.
