I wrote a skill that queries our solarwinds Web Help Desk install and tells me how many outstanding tickets there are.
Take a look at what you can do with your Echo, IFTTT, and other products or services you own or use. Can create some useful functionality. I find receiving an email with my shopping list useful.
Hmmmm, I see something in this as a potential prize in a monthly mission....at some point in the future.
I also see this being dangerous around my 5 year old grand-daughter.....
+1 on the IFTTT stuff. I have several recipes that will add rows to spreadsheets whenever I say "Alexa trigger <keyword>". For example, "Alexa trigger water" add a row to a water tracking spreadsheet. "Alexa trigger piano" adds a timestamp to a piano practice spreadsheet. You get the idea.
