I have a Syslog forwarder set up on my windows system forwarding to my Solarwinds server. I have set up an Alert/Filter in the Solarwinds Syslog Viewer. I have set up the Alert Action to send email and also log alert to a file. The rule seems to be working fine since I do see the alert being written to the file but I don't receive an email message with the alert. The SMTP server is set up properly and I am receiving other types of alerts that I set up in managed alerts. Has anyone else run into this before?
