Windows Credential Problem

Hi All Please could you help, I am very new to Solarwinds and I am having an issue where I had a windows credential on solarwinds in which the password had been changed and solarwinds was polling using those details.

I have now entered new details and these work, which is great however my security dept are giving me a hard time as apparently the solarwinds server is still using those old credentials.

Ihave proved it is solarwinds but stopping it and the login requests stop.

I have checked the SQL db and deleted the details there but is there anywhere else that may have these old cred stored and be using it?

HI All, Thank you, I manage to find in still in the SQL DB although I had deleted it on Solarwinds, I then had to reboot the server and it has now stopped using that credential

Open the web console and go to Settings in upper right of window. About half way down on this screen is Windows Credentials, check to see if the account is there. Edit it with new creds and you should be good.@danielen

danielhen‌ if that isn't the issue then you may have the creds entered into a specific node. That will take a little work to find.

What table did you query and do you have any other applications besides NPM?

You will find any Windows credential you have ever entered in one of 2 places
- settings, manage windows credential (as mentioned in one of the replies)
- settings, SAM Settings, Manage credentials
Do you have anything else installed besides NPM?
