What Objects Does DPA Create In Monitored Databases?

    Larry Giveans

I perhaps naively thought that beyond the repository user created that everything was query based and stored in the DPA repository database.  Recently however I was working with a dba who pointed out that for the Oracle instance we added there were numerous Synonyms created and associated with the DPA user.  While he couldn’t pin down any specific table or views created he’s pretty confident they’re there and is questioning exactly what gets created in each technology – i.e. SQL, Oracle, Sybase, to support monitoring and where it lives in the monitored database.

So just what changes does DPA make to the monitored databases beyond configuring the repository user?  Are tables and/or views added??
