Custom HTML Resource not displaying

We have setup on our SAM page a Custom HTML resource to monitor various things from our VMWare environment using Solarwinds Virtualization Manager.

However we have a weird issue where as soon as the page refreshes, we get the following page with the message "Restoring your session, please wait" and it will stay on that view until we log out of Solarwinds and the Virtualization Manager, close the browser, clear cookies etc and then log back into Solarwinds....

The HTML code is correct as it is what is copied from the virtualization manager link to that widget. It does display correctly, until the page is refreshed, then it just shows whats in the screenshot below.

What would be causing this??

Not sure why you are seeing the 'restoring screen' every time but the out of the box integration between SAM and Virtualization Manager allows you to use the native Orion resources to build a datastore latency view

You need to be at Virtualization Manager v6.1 or higher, and a compatible SAM version

Assuming you are running compatible versions (say SAM v6.2 and VMan 6.3, for instance), you can follow the Virtualization Manager integration wizard in the Virtualization Settings page to establish the integration between VMan and SAM. Once this integration has been setup, the data collected by VMan is also pushed into the Orion (SAM's) database. You can then add resources like Top X datastore latency into the Orion dashboard just like how you would have customized dashboards with SAM's data.

May I know why you are using Custom HTML resources when you can simply click on 'customize page' and choose from the native Orion resources?

I've gone through that method, however I'm unable to find the resources we want to display in the list.. hence why I chose to use the custom html option and link it to the widget in the virtualization manager.

We wish to display Datastore IOPS, Datastore I/O Latency and VM Network I/O
When I select the Top XXX Datastore Network I/O from the list of Orion resources, it only displays the I/O of SAN's local storage which is of no interest to us, and not the LUN I/O which we want to see...

In that case, what you can do is add a 'Custom Table' resource to the view. Select 'Virtual Machine' as the data source. Add the VM name, network IO, columns. Change the drop down to 'Virtual Datastore' and add the datastore name, datastore IOPS and latency

Were you ever able to get this working? I'm running into the same issue and not all of the widgets that are in Virtualization Manager are available as Orion Resources. I am trying to use the Capacity planner that we have added to a dashboard view and it makes it much easier to see it on a standard Orion page than have to login to VMan to see it.
