Solarwinds Database tables

I am new to Solarwinds. And I try to use SQL to manage my Solarwinds NPM. However, it seems that under the same Solarwinds server, it is different Solarwinds NPM database name and tables in SWQL Studio and SQL server express which installed with Solarwinds NPM. The tables In SQL server 2008 express belong to dbo schemas, but tables in SWQL belong to different schemas. Could anyone give me a clue why the tables I see are different between SWQL studio and SQL server express. Plus, where can I find info about how to use SWQL and T-SQL in Solarwinds Thank you.
