Network Atlas Critical Error

We was having a problem where, when editing a map, and trying to save the map - Network Atlas crashed, we was given a fix for this (an SQL script for unlocking some tables) which I can post if you think it could be useful.

Apart from that Network Atlas is in the 'uninstall or change a program' section of the control panel which you could try using repair.

I gave that a shot already.  I even installed into a different location just to be sure.  No changes.  It only happens when I want to change the font type from MicroSans MS to lets say Times New Roman...

To be honest i cant remember if that was the same issue, but definitely Network Atlas did duplicate the affected map we was working on

** Backup your database **

Connect to your database using Database Manager or SQL Server Management Studio

Right Click on your Orion database -> New Query ...

Enter the Query below in the Query Editor window

            UPDATE MapStudioFiles SET LockUser= NULL

            UPDATE MapStudioFiles SET LockDate= NULL

            UPDATE MapStudioFiles SET ComputerName= NULL

Click Execute

We most certainly can give this a shot. Will update later on.

You will have to remove the duplicate afterwards manually, I renamed it to check it wasnt the live one before deleting it. Hopefully work for you.

Just an update.  Solarwinds stated that it's because of the Microsoft KB3078601 patch that was killing the process to select a font.  Once removed, it worked like a charm. The engineers are aware of this and plan to have this corrected in the next release as per our conversation through their help desk.

Left it this way for several weeks now and haven't had any additional issues with Network Atlas.
