SBC - ACME packet monitoring in Solarwinds

Is it possible to monitor the SBC -ACME packets in Orion NPM/NTA/SAM ?   If available then what are features available?  If not, then any enhancement in coming versions?

  • I am also intrested in this, would love to see the possibility to log the session agents table and related statistics such as number of calls in/out and so on.

It would also be great with alerts for if the session agent goes OOS. One can dream right emoticons_happy.png

  • I too looking to see ACME as mentioned above in Orion....any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have some UNDP SNMP OID monitors for tracking the number of sessions on a particular realm.  If you do an SNMP walk on OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.2.x it will return your realm names.  EX: OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.2.13, Type=OctetString, Value=<RealmName here>

Then if you do an snmp walk on OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.3.x it will return the current session values.  EX: OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.3.13, Type=Gauge32, Value=91

NOTE: the last part of the OID is the same, If you have multiple realms OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.2.x (x will represent the realm name) and OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.3.x (x will represent the number of sessions for that realm).

NOTE2: If you add realms or change realms the numbers can vary in the last part of the OID and you'll need to update your UNDPs appropriately.

You can also use OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.1.5.0 for the global sessions on the SBC of all realms combined.

I've been trying to get more monitoring in terms of 503 and 500 SIP responses from far end carriers so i can alert if i receive multiple bad responses over a given period of time.

Please let me know if you have any questions

  • Hi, also interested if there has been any progress on this?

    Thanks
