HP EVA P6000 Storage

Hi geeks,

Have you ever added HP P6350 to NPM through SNMPv3?

If yes,can you please share actual screenshots how to do it? I cant get HP Storage ,but other devices can be added with ease.Probably SNMP needs to be configured correctly,but I try based on guides,but in vain

To the best of my knowledge, HP P6k doesn't allow you to monitor anything via SNMP. Is there any HP documentation that shows which MIBs are supported by HP EVA?

So, SNMP Traps only. What are you running into while adding the EVA as an SNMP v3 node?

Yes.It is needs to be added as a Node before NPM receiving traps.Am I wrong?

Just curious - is the p6000 similar to the p2000, and if so it may be worth a look over at Storage Resource Manager. I know monitoring the P2000s was a little weird trying to use NPM & SAM, and I think the thought on our side was to investigate SRM or utilized the snmp traps from the P2000.

P2000 and P6000 are completely different animals. P2000 is what HP used to call MSA. P6000 is what HP used to call EVA.
