Map locations based on Active Directory attribute

We'd like to assign clients to a Location based on a specific Active Directory attribute.  For example, if the client's Office (attrib=physicalDeliveryOfficeName) is 'WDC', we'd like them assigned to the 'Washington, DC' location in WHD.

Based on the attribute mapping section in WHD, it looks like the AD attribute has to match the WHD location exactly to map.

Is it possible to map AD attribute 'WDC' to WHD location 'Washington, DC'?

Thanks for any input.

  • Hmm.. i don't think so.  If you are pulling Client users in via an LDAP connection to Active Directory, you can modify that LDAP connection's Attribute Mappings to say what field from AD should populate the Location field in WHD.    But it can't do a translation of WDC = Washington, DC
