    IPAM Scanning halted

    bchimp0

      Hi there,

      Thanks for reading.

      Our environment is:

      W2K8 SP1

      SQL 2008 SP1

      IPAM 4.3,

      NCM 7.2.2,

      NPM 11.5.2,

      NTA 3.11.0,

      IVIM 2.1.0,

      VNQM 4.2.2

We just upgraded IPAM 4.0 to 4.3.  Before the upgrade, I'd noticed that the scanning was out of date (Last discovery: weeks prior).  A manual scan showed status: Queued.  I saw a Thwack thread which suggested renaming JobEngine35 and using the original JobEngine35 template in its place.  Somebody also reported successful scanning after a reboot.  When neither of those options worked, I ran the upgrade to 4.3 but that didn't fix me either.  Have you seen this issue?  What's the fix?

      Thanks in advance!

      Bob

Could you post some specific error messages found in IPAM.BusinessLayer.log which will be usually found in this location C:\programdata\Solarwinds\Logs\IPAM.

To increase the logging level for IPAM business layer log in debug mode.Search for "LogAdjuster" tool from solarwinds installed location then adjust debug mode for following areas

          1. IP Address Manager

          2.Job Engine v2

Thanks for taking an interest!  Here are the repeating error messages.

Whether Windows credentials has been accidentally deleted in IPAM ?. Try to check the mapped windows credentials to particular DHCP server is exist or not.

If windows credentials is present and it has been mapped to DHCP server then try to add one more windows credential and map it to existing DHCP server.

                  Path to create windows credentials

Settings>IPAM settings> Credentials for scope scans>Add new windows credential.

Thanks for the guidance!  Our server group had been having trouble with the

DNS / DHCP server and swapped in a replacement.  I reconnected it in

Solarwinds and the scans started up again!  Thanks again for your guidance and

                      interest!
