It looks like the AppInsight for SQL stores the error log in dbo.APM.SqlBbServerErrorLog_Detail table.
A simple query would look like this:
SELECT s.TimeStamp ,s.Message ,a.Name ,n.Caption FROM APM_SqlBbServerErrorLog_Detail s INNER JOIN APM_Applications a ON s.ApplicationID = a.ID JOIN Nodes n ON a.NodeID = n.NodeID WHERE s.TimeStamp > DATEADD(d,-1,GETDATE())
I would highly suggest using the included Orion Database Manager or the free Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to explore the Orion database tables. There is a wealth of information there.
That worked like a champ! I added that bit of code to our daily report. I appreciate it!
I actually changed the query to this (below) to get the windows events. The other query did not show what was in the SQL Server Events resource. I appreciate the work though as it pointed me in the correct direction.
SELECT TimeGeneratedUTC as TimeStamp,
where message like '%failed%'
and TimeGeneratedUTC > DATEADD(d,-2,GETDATE())
ORDER by TimeGeneratedUTC desc
