NPM 10.4.2 Hardware Requirements

Hi,

Does anyone have a list of the hardware requirements for version 10.4.2 of Orion NPM anywhere?

I am trying to see if the VM we have running it is correctly resourced and I have a suspicion it is not.

We are running it on an SLX license with an Additional Polling Engine and SAM 5.5.0.

How many elements are you monitoring / what are the current systems specs?

Hi Rob,
Currently we are monitoring 5521 on one Polling Engine and 11042 on the other.
One is a single core 2.0GHz CPU with 4GB of RAM and the other is a dual core 2.0GHz CPU with 8GB of RAM.

If possible I would try to shift some of the load from the APE to the MP and possibly increase HW on MP if possible. Also, what do the specs on the SQL server look like (including disk config.)

Hi Rob,
The SQL server is a VM with 16GB of RAM and a dual-core 2.00GHz vCPU.
I don't know what RAID configuration the storage is running on but can find out.

Typically performance constraints appear around SQL server IO- this would be one of the first suspects to review.
