MAC browsers crash/refuse to open

We have our NPM install (11.0 and 11.5.1) on IIS 7.5 using a properly obtained SSL (SHA2) certificate

On Macos (10.6/10.7) systems the following has been observed:

Chrome: crashes

Safari: hangs forever

Firefox: works

On Windows devices all of the browsers work.

I'm not a Mac user (until recently) and do not know where to begin to understand why the NPM application is not working on the default MAC web browser.

hopefully someone has seen this before, and can suggest what causes this.

Is upgrading MacOS an option? I'm running 10.10 and I have no issues accessing our NPM installation. Ours also uses a properly-obtained SSL certificate.

It's a brand new Macbook Air running 10.10.3
My laptop bit the dust and my ipad 1 was getting old, so it was time for an upgrade; wouldn't you know it, the first site I went to caused my browser to crash....

You had mentioned MacOS 10.6/10.7 in your initial post; that's why I was confused.
I'm not sure what to tell you on this one, both my manager and I access our Orion platform installation from Macbooks without any issue.
I wonder if you somehow got a corrupt version of the site in your cache, thought if you've already cleared your cache and cookies and tried again, I'm out of ideas.
