Upgrade SW SQL DB Server 2008R2 from Standard to Enterprise

We have a project that will be proposing to upgrade our SolarWinds SQL server from 2008 R2 Standard to Enterprise to accommodate more RAM . The database server is a separate server running SQL 2008R2, no other applications installed.  The SolarWinds applications are running on the application server.

It's a simple operation from the command line but we were wondering if there was any preparation we needed to take within our SolarWinds environment.

FYI for others that may read this post.

I only posted this to get feedback from other users.  I didn't think anything was actually needed because the DB server is separate from the App server.  But I needed to document my project document with feedback from others and/or the vendor (Orion).

I opened a case and was told that all that was needed was to ensure the DB was backed up and the SolarWinds services were stopped before starting the upgrade.  I assume this is just a good safe practice.
