Upgrading NPM 10.2 to 11.5

Greetings,

Timely upgrades have been neglected for our NPM. We are on 10.2 and hoping to go to 11.5 . However it appears from my reading an upgrade to 11.5 cannot be done directly from 10.2. Would this require an upgrade to 10.7 then upgrading to 11.5?
