import validation errors

I am trying to import our IP addresses into IPAM, but it's giving me spreadsheet validation errors. It highlights the hostname field on about 1500 records (out of 20,000), which seems to indicate that is what it doesn't like, but I don't know what it is complaining about or how to resolve it.

The hostnames in question all seem to resemble

reverse-ip.static.ourdomain.com

Any suggestions on how to get IPAM to import these records?
