F5 and Foundry Server Iron monitoring with Universal Device Poller

I've been asked to build a UDP poller for F5 and Foundry Server Irons that shows the the total connections at a certain period of time (past) vs the present time tracked over a period of time which could be infinite.  I've found several OIDs that show the data but the graph does not work as it keeps counting up rather than adjusting for the number of connections and showing the trends that maybe at 1 minute I had 10 connections and the next minute I had 10 as well but 5 logged off and 5 more logged in. Is there anything out there that can track a change like that or has anyone done something similar with a Universal Device Poller?  I know this is kind of vague and I can expound on the situation in greater detail later. Fing

  • Did you ever receive a response for this?  I am having a similar issue.

  • Hi jrich,

I am not sure if I understand correctly what exactly you want to see, If you are monitoring OID which returns number of connections then you wont be able to show what happend with the connections between polls. You would need to monitor another OID which returns this kind of information.

If you want to see difference between polls than check counter for your UnDP. If you want to see exact walue then select Rate.

If you could provide more detailed information or screenshots I would try to be more helpful.

    Cheers,

    Pavel
