Has anyone had success installing SolarWinds applications using Run As administrator?

I've never had to try this.  I just have a domain account that's part of a group that's in the local admin group of the server.  Everything has installed fine.

It's been my habit over the years to ALWAYS install products and patches using "Run as Administrator" to avoid issues if something happens to my user account.

So I can confirm this not only works, but in my (not so) humble opinion, it's the better way to go about things.

The official advice from solarwinds is more specific actually - always install as a local administrator - not domain admin.
