are they dell servers? if so you may want to remove the openmanage client if it was left on during p to v.  also you may need to clear the hardware option for the node from the dbase and re-add it to get the vmware/hyper v hardware info.  hope this helps.

I've got the same message on one of my servers and it has NOT been virtualized. When I click the List Resources tab, it will show me all the hardware devices it found (new volumes, etc) and I can select them, and it acts like it imports them when I save the changes, but if I go back later, they are not there again. It's a Dell server, but doesn't have the openmanage client installed. Any other ideas?

i would definitely install "Dell Server Administrator" on the server it puts the real good monitor plugins on the box. makes the HW sensors report better.  but as far as seeing then not seeing the add items. thats a new one to me haven't run into that one.  the one time one of our admins had trouble with that we had to fix his rights in solarwinds, but that was a normal fat finger issue.

This fixed the problem for us.

These tips have gotten me to where I needed to be.  No more undefined hardware. 

I am facing this for IBM servers...any clue?
