    New FTP Voyager User Needs Help

    mcdermott27

      I finally figured out how to get the FTP Voyager Scheduler to find the remote path but even though I am navigating and selecting my local path, keeps saying it cannot open it. See error below. How can this be? I am using the FTP Voyager local directory tool to open up the folder. I have tried folders on my C drive and D drive but neither works.

      04] Thu 25Dec14 09:10:28 - Error opening C:\FROM VITERA\ for writing ((0x3) The system cannot find the path specified.).

          Based on the error check the directory and/or file permissions for the user being used to access the path in scheduler.  It appears it is getting access denied when attempting to write.

              I only have one user on this machine, me, and I am a full admin. I install, uninstall, and have no issues doing anything (writing to any file, etc). Are you sure it is not something else? I clicked on Advanced Sharing for the D and C drive and checked every user/user group and all have full control (including read/write, etc).

                  Did you still got the problem ?

                  If so, can you give more details about your settings in action properties:

                  Task->Task properties->Actions

                  and

                  Edit ->Action Information-> Local file or folder ?

                      Yes, I still am unable to do a single thing with this software. Completely useless so far. Makes no sense. Here is error log from it trying to grab a file from SFTP and place it on my local hard drive.

                          Hi again,

                          Downloading to specified directory is the main functionality in the scheduler so I guess your problem is environment related.

                          the following message:

                          Error opening D:\Global RCP\To Global\SALUCRO\ for writing ((0x3) The system cannot find the path specified.

                          says that the user SYSTEM (on which the scheduler is run) is not able to find specific file/dir.

                          Can you check the folder D:\Global RCP\To Global\SALUCRO\ with right-click->Properties->Security to see if SYSTEM is listed on the directory (or directory above) ? What users/groups are listed there?

                          Can you try to create new local directory like C:\temp\ and use it in the scheduler. Does it work or not? And check the access rights for the SYSTEM user as above.
