    Advanced Alerting with Multiple Groups

    jlangley1

I have been fighting with this alert for a few days now and, it just won't work. The idea is, if our MPLS goes down, I'd like an alert to see that our internet and core switch are up then, fire off the alert saying the MPLS is down and the site is on its backup connection. I have done various combinations of what I have below. I have done nested and non nested condition groups, added and removed the condition for the internet and core switch. Nothing yet, has worked when a MPLS link goes down.

      Current alert:

CDevice is equal to Cisco Router

Node status is not equal to Up

      >>Cdevice is equal to core switch

      >> Node status is equal to Up.

      Previous Alert:

CDevice is equal to Cisco Router

Node status is not equal to Up

      >> Cdevice is equal to core switch

      >> Node status is equal to Up.

      >>>>CDevice is equal to Fort Ex Int

      >>>>Node status is equal to Up

Any insight on how to make this alert work would be greatly appreciated.

I also have the same issue as we are trying to monitor Multilink interfaces with 2 or more T1s bundled. When only 1 of the circuits go down, we don't get any alerts as the other circuit is keeping the actual Multilink interface up/up. If anyone has any suggestions or comments to help out, that would be greatly appreciated!
