Maintenance Windows

I have created a maintenance window in IP Monitor to which a smart group is assigned.

The maintenance window is currently in progress

However, the group members are not showing in maintenance?

The group contains a device which has 3 monitors but nothing is going into maintenance so I am continuing to receive alerts. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what!

Any ideas?

Dan,
You can check your ipm.log file (which is located in your \ipMonitor\logs directory). This should show you when a monitor goes into maintenance.

Thanks for the tip about the log file I’d not seen that. After checking it, it is not showing the monitors changing state when the maintenance window starts even though the maintenance windows shows in progress.

A little experimentation has revealed that everything works as expected if I add the specific device to the maintenance window, but it is not working when I add a smart group that contains the same device. Any other ideas? I really want the smart group to work to reduce administration!

I would recommend trying a normal group (not Smart Group), and see if that works.
