not sure why there is an issue with the NTLM, i tried when using normal connection, and also tried the advanced option, but nothing seems to work.

i have also attached the logs from the alert central.

      can anyone assist me.

      thanks,

      Anas.

The log bundle doesn't contain any useful information.

According to error details log: your SMTP server (Exchange) supports only NTLM authentication. According to encoded messages you haven't used domain name in the username. You should try to use login name in form of "DOMAIN\user", "domain.name\user" or "user@domain.name" form.

Also you can enable other authentication mechanism on the Exchange server if the above doesn't help.

You can specify different credentials for SMTP server (in advanced settings) - see the following screenshot:

thanks alot of your help tomas,

i actually solved the issue, the domain admin account did not authenticate the exchange for some reason, so i used another admin account that was used in the installation of the exchange server and and since the alert center is does not have the option to use exchange 2013 i used imap, since it is enabled on our exchange.

                    thanks
