    NPM Upgradation

      Hi Team,

We have one NPM Standalone license running in the internal segment to monitor our whole network devices. Now we want to implement another polling engine in our DMZ segment, but using the same NPM Polling engine license  that we are using in our internal segment

Can you tell us what is the procedure to implement the same.

Can we use the same polling engine to implement on DMZ segment.if yes, then how ?

      Please suggest....

Details of Our NPM: 10.5 version

      Regards,

      Jayant

if you deploy a 2nd polling engine, you will need to purchase another license.

              Hi dclick,

We are having standalone license as of now. If I buy another standalone license will that do. So in this case, i would be having two different and independent monitoring servers. right?

              Regards,

If you buy another standalone license, you will have to ensure you have another database, you won't be able to use the same database.  If that's the intent, then yes, buy another NPM.  If you want them in the same database, you need an additional poller, but I your main poller has to be an SLX license to apply a poller.

                  Regards,
