Programmatically detect Wireless Access Points

Hello All,

I am using DiscoverInterfacesOnNode (from Orion.NPM.Interfaces) and adding all the discovered interfaces to the node via the REST api. However, I have found that Wireless Controllers are not detected by the REST api. How would I go about detecting the Wireless Controller programmatically.

DiscoverInterfacesOnNode only handles interfaces and right now we don't expose an API for discovering wireless controllers through the SDK.

So that would mean that we would have to finish the discovery process via the WebUI which is not ideal. Are there any workarounds?

It seems to work if I add the vendor specific wireless controller poller programmatically. So I guess, my next question would be, how do I get the list of Pollers in SolarWinds?

You can find a list of pollers int the "Orion SDK.pdf" in the section titled "Available Poller Types" on page 42. The doc is installed with the Orion SDK and found in "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion SDK\Documentation\Orion SDK.pdf"

Looks like the document does not contain all the pollers. I added a Ruckus Zone Director via the Web UI and it created the following poller which is not in the documentation (hence my question):
N.WirelessController.SNMP.Ruckus

The list of pollers in the documentation needs to be updated. Attached is a list of the current pollers that the latest shipping version of Orion NPM.
