This seems like the kind of question that could have been answered sometime in the past 26 days.
Sometimes I think that the forums are not monitored very closely by support staff, because this a pretty fundamental question, and one would think an answer with certainty would be available easily and promptly.
With the recent release of SQL 2012 SP2, we have not explicitly tested NPM against it. SQL 2014 is however supported in NPM 11.0 (now in RC.) We do know customers are running SP2 in production, with no known issues. In terms of SQL SP installation, we wouldn't be able to provide formal advice outside of what MS would recommend.
Thank you for the reply. I understand that you are saying that Solarwinds has not formally tested against SP2, and therefore cannot state with certainty that there aren't hidden gotchas.
Thanks for the answer. It helps.
I dont know if old versions of NPM can work with SQL Server 2012 SP2, but NPM 11.0.1 works. SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor Release Notes
