    Alert Central - Escalation Policy


      I am relatively new to Alert Central, however I have played with the Group escalation policy for a few weeks now and am running into an issue with the type of notifications that are sent when the step to "Notify all group members" is in the policy.  It appears that "Notify all group members" only triggers an email notification while each user in the group has an alert notification policy step to have an SMS message sent to their phone.  Can someone please explain why the behavior of the "Notify all group members" does not follow the user level alert notification policies or enlighten me as to how this should work?
