IP Duplicate via SWIS on NPM

Hello. You create the Node as new object. No deduplication logic is brought here so it could be used the user's way. If you want to suppress creating of the duplicates, you have to do it on your own. Like [pseudocode]

$IPAddress='1.2.3.4'

$nodeProps = @{IPAddress=$IPAddress; Caption='blabla'}

If ((get-swisdata $swis ("Select nodeid from orion.nodes where IPAddress=" + $IPAddress )) -eq $null)

     {$newUri = New-SwisObject $swis –EntityType "Orion.Nodes" –Properties $nodeProps}

else

{Write-host "Node is already in the database"}

I just wanted to learn that if the duplicate IP automatic control is possible in SWIS. I understand I must do this control by code-based. Anyway thanks Jan for help.

Please don't change the current behavior, some of us make use of it (to overcome other limitations in the product)
