I'm not sure I understand your issue, but if your concern is over sending alerts direct from Orion, this is still possible. Alerts are forwarded to Alert central using the "alert sharing" tab, whereas email alerts can still be sent from Orion to your techs.
Do you want that Alert Central received a message from Orion and send them to the appropriate group (without trash) ?
You can configure rules for your orion source and describe what AC must to do if the alerts that match / don't match specific criteria.
On the image below you can see that by default alerts (all the alerts from Orion) will be send to Testing groups, the ones which will contain 'my lovely node' will be assigned to Testing Group 2. So you can avoid trashing your alerts for both (matching / not matching) cases.
