    Discovery Task edit/creation

    msalas

      Hello,

I am having trouble finding how to edit/create discovery tasks. I created all that I needed when I setup patch manager a year ago. But, we stretched some subnets and now it looks like Patch Manager isn't finding new machines correctly, if at all. I have recently upgraded to 2.0.2207.2, if that helps at all.

      Thanks.

There is no way to change the IP subnet targets of a Discovery Task. You can create a new task to cover the new ranges (recommended), or you can create a new task to replace the old ranges + new ranges.

          To create a Discovery Task:

          1. Navigate to Patch Manager System Configuration -> Management Groups -> Managed Enterprise
          2. Select the Discovery Subnets tab
          3. Click on the "Add Subnet" action to define the new subnet(s).
          4. Select the subnet(s) from the subnet list and click on "Discovery Configration" action to create the task.
