      Good Day All

I have the following entry persistently displayed in my DELL PCT6248 and 7048 buffer log:

sFlowReceiverFlowSampleAdd: sample length is overshooting max datagram size.

      maxdatagram error.JPG

ALL my receivers are configured as follows:

      Net_Mgmt_Test_1#show sflow 1 destination

      Receiver Index................................. 1

      Owner String................................... Net_Mgmt_1_Test_1_1/g48

      Time out....................................... 4272364975

      IP Address:.................................... 192.168.5.145

      Address Type................................... 1

      Port........................................... 6343

      Datagram Version............................... 5

      Maximum Datagram Size.......................... 256

      Net_Mgmt_Test_1#show sflow 1 sampling

      Sampler         Receiver    Packet                Max Header

Data Source  Index          Sampling Rate   Size

      -----------         -------           -------------           ----------

      1/g48                1                 1024               256

      Net_Mgmt_Test_1#show sflow 1 polling

      Poller              Receiver    Poller

      Data Source   Index         Interval

      -----------          -------         -------

      1/g48                1              256

I use Solarwinds NPM and NTA for my traffic analysis.

Can anyone explain why this is happening and possibly offer me some guidance on configuring the Sflow parameters optimally?
