How do I include the Issuer CN information in an SSL cert check alert?

I would like to include parts (or the entire syntax) of the certificate details in an alert for an SSL check. This would help us identify if the certificate is internal, external, or self signed.

How can I reference this data? Is there a variable I can use in the ${UserNotes} field?

The data is retrieved in the SSL Certificate expiration Data Monitor component cert check when I click on details when testing the component monitor.

Certificate will expire in 3424 day(s). Expiration date: 7/15/2023

  • Information regarding the certificate is not stored in the database. As such there is no macro which can be used to include this information as part of an alert. You can however copy/paste this information into the user notes field of the component and use that macro to include that information as part of the alert notification.
